Ricoh 35FM viewfinder camera (serial 54104788) | film🎞tested
The Yashica 35FM is a tiny, elegant viewfinder or 'zone-focus' 35mm film camera where you focus by pictogram (or by estimating subject distance in feet or meters).Â
We were very happy with the results we got from film testing this camera. We found it very easy to estimate the subject distance and all the negatives were in focus.Â
This camera requires a 675 zinc air battery its light meter (available as an option). The camera originally used a 675 mercury battery which is no longer available but the zinc air type is a suitable, inexpensive alternative that gives accurate exposures.
The 35FM includes a hot-shoe so any standard flash can be used with it.
Condition notes
The camera was tested with film and delivered sharp, well-exposed images. The camera is in very good cosmetic condition (see photos). The door light seals are somewhat worn but we tested the camera in very bright sunlight and there were no sign of leakage on the negatives so we opted to leave them in. Â
