Nikon Nikkormat FTn 35mm film SLR
Nikon Nikkormat FTn 35mm film SLR
Includes Tamron SP 70-210mm f3.5 lens.
The Nikkormat FTn is a classic Nikon F-mount manual focus, mechanical 35mm film SLR from the 1970s and the included lens is a Tamron SP 70-210mm f3.5 lens. This is a very versatile and reliable camera and lens combination. The FTn is a very elegant design with a number of features to appeal to advanced users like: a depth of field preview button beside the shutter release; a mirror lockup switch; light meter readable both through the viewfinder and in a window on top of the camera.
Condition notes
The camera (serial 4577527) and lens are in good aesthetic condition (see photos) and in excellent working condition. There is some minor dust in the viewfinder (does not affect photos). All shutter speeds were tested and verified to be accurate* and free of capping or any other issues. The camera and lens were tested with film and delivered excellent results.
* For the entire Nikkormat line of mechanical cameras, the 125 speed is actually 1/100; I suspect this design was chosen because 1/100 was found to be a more reliable flash sync speed. The cameras metering accuracy is not affected. Otherwise, the speeds are as marked on the shutter dial.
