Minolta Dynax 505si 35mm film SLR w/ 28-80mm lens (serial 95905417)
Minolta Dynax 505si 35mm film SLR w/ 28-80mm lens (serial 95905417)
Note: this camera has a yellow tinge in its viewfinder (a common issue for a Minolta SLR of its era) due to a yellowing of its pentamirror coating. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect photos.
The Minolta Dynax 505si (called the Maxxum HTsi in some countries) is a lightweight and easy-to-use 35mm SLR introduced in 1998. It includes a Minolta AF 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 zoom lens.
The 505si is an excellent choice as a film camera for anyone who uses a Sony Alpha-series digital SLR with full-frame A-mount lenses (the lenses are compatible).
The camera was tested with a shutter analyzer and calibrated light source and all shutter speeds and auto exposure settings are working with very good accuracy. The camera was tested with a battery and film installed (the film was not developed) and all functions are working correctly. Apart from the previously mentioned yellow tinge in the viewfinder, the camera and lens are in good cosmetic condition (see photos).
