Olympus 35 EC viewfinder 35mm camera w/ case + flash

The Olympus 35 EC is a superb auto-exposure 35mm zone focus (viewfinder) camera introduced in 1969. This camera offers fully automatic exposure camera (you can use the film speed dial for backlight compensation though) and zone/scale focusing. It features a sharp 42mm f2.8 E. Zuiko lens made up of 5 elements in 4 groups.

Zone or scale focusing lets you use pictograms (head for close-up; head and shoulders for portrait; group; and 'mountain' for distant scenery) or distances in meters (on the lens ring).

The camera originally called for two RM-640 mercury batteries; we tested using a lithium CR1/3N (with a conductive spacer) and got very good results. We also tried with 675 zinc air cells and they worked very well except the indicator lights only illuminate briefly and extra long exposures (1-4 seconds) aren't possible due to the lower current. PX640 alkaline batteries reportedly work very well too (but we haven't tried them).

We will include the CR1/3N which we used to film test this camera (it still tests as strong). 

The included Nicca flash requires two AA batteries (not included). 

Condition notes
The camera was tested with film and delivered sharp, well-exposed images. We also verified focus accuracy on an autocollimator. It is in very good cosmetic condition as well. The original leatherette case and a small Nicca flash are included.
